About Us

Sugar Creek Ag was started in January of 2020 and is a distribution resource for both dealers and farmers, and we partner with other distributor networks to provide the products farmers need. Our team brings over 50 years of firsthand experience farming and working with

growers and advisors from around the country. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity and are thankful for the opportunity to work with farmers, ag professionals, and others in the industry. We also understand that our products must perform at a cost that allows our customers to see a return on their investment.

Sonny Malone

Sonny has worked in the agricultural and distribution industry since 1992. First as the Southeast Sales Manager for The Rigo Company, formerly a subsidiary of Wilbur-Ellis that manufactured Ag and L&G chemicals. From 1994 to 1999, he served as a Key Account Manager for Central Garden & Pet/Pennington Seed, calling on account such as Tractor Supply and regional co-ops.

Sonny was the first employee hired in 2000 at Monty’s Plant Food Company, where he spent nearly 20 years promoting humics, soil additives, and foliar-applied nutrient products. This experience allowed him the opportunity to work with all channels of distribution in the ag industry as well as with farmers and a variety of crops, across the country.

Taylor Marret

Taylor grew up on the family farm in South Carolina and Kentucky. In South Carolina they grew corn, soybeans, cotton, wheat, and a variety of vegetable crops which they sold at a roadside market. In 1979 they moved back to the home farm in Smithfield, Kentucky, to operate the family dairy. After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended the University of Kentucky where he graduated with a Business Administration degree.

He started a property maintenance business in 1995, maintaining commercial and residential properties. He sold that business to go to work at Monty’s Plant Food Company where he managed distributor and dealer accounts in the midwest and southeast. This also provided him the opportunity to work with growers in a variety of crops including vegetables, turf, row crops, hay and pasture, fruit, and cannabis/hemp for nearly six years.
